David Aldus

One of the regular artists exhibiting new work at the Gallery is David Aldus.

David has exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists (R.B.A.), The Royal Institute of Oils (R.O.I.) and with the Royal Society of Marine Artists (R.S.M.A.) at their annual art exhibitions held at the Mall Galleries, London.

He was a finalist in the Garrick/Milne prize exhibition held at Christies, London. The work was sold within minutes of the opening preview. His work was selected to hang in the Discerning Eye Exhibition by art critic, Edward Lucie-Smith, where all his work was sold. He also sold all his work at the Lambeth Palace when he exhibited there under the auspices of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.

One of his paintings has sold for £10,000. This particular painting was the subject of a congratulatory letter from Queen Elizabeth II. Lord Lewin, Admiral of the fleet, also sent a letter complimenting this painting.

David has held both one and two-man shows at galleries in Knightsbridge, South Kensington, Windsor and Reading.

Other venues exhibited at include Westminster Central Hall, Royal Festival Hall, R.B.A. Birmingham, Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, Rooksmoor Gallery, Bath, London Guildhall, Mann Island, Liverpool, Christies, Century Galleries, Henley, Omell Gallery and Ascot.

Leon Goodman

Leon has been a professional artist for the majority of his working life.

His work has been sold at The Omell Gallery, Ascot, as well as Christies, the fine art auction house in London.

Since seeing his work, Risborough Art Gallery have made him a regularly featured artist.

Leon’s philosophy is that it is not the delineation of the subject which is important, but its fragmentation. He believes a strictly photographic image does not allow the viewer to participate in the painting. If the image is fragmented, the viewer can imagine for himself the missing parts and involve himself in the creation of the whole image. The viewer has seen his own interpretation of the fragmented images; the next viewer may see something different.

Andrew Selby

Andrew is a contemporary artist whose work is becoming increasingly popular because of its unique style.

Examples illustrating this individual style can be found by using the website search facility.

Daisy Logan

Daisy has been painting flowers throughout her career as a professional artist.

Her work has been accepted by The Society of Women Artists’ Annual Art Exhibition, held at The Westminster Central Hall in London. This event is the single-most important art exhibition held for women in Britain.

Daisy has been approached by two publishing companies who have asked for more photographic examples of her work, in order to consider them for publication.

She has also had interest shown in her work by a London Art Gallery.

Daisy has exhibited with the Society of United Artists in London and more locally, with the Bucks Art Society. It is Risborough Art Gallery however, that is Daisy’s main outlet for sales.

Penny Clandon S.W.A.

Penny was elected into the Society of Women’s artists some six years ago. Since then she has exhibited six of her pastels at their annual Art Exhibitions at Westminster Central Hall Gallery in London.

She has also exhibited at the Society of United Artists’ Annual Exhibition. Other exhibitions displaying her work have been The Pastel Society and The Buckinghamshire Art Society.

The President of the Societe des Patelistes de France, Jean-Pierre Merat, invited her to exhibit her work at the Society’s Exhibition at Fontenay, France. Daisy’s favourite medium has always been pastels.

Peter Atkins

Peter has exhibited with the Oxfordshire Art Society. He has also shown work at the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath.

Peter’s talents have also made their way into more mainstream circles; he has been commissioned to produce scenes by both The Simon Elvin Card Company and Tesco’s for their range of cards.

Robert Gerhardt

Robert has exhibited his work for many years. His work has been shown at the Buckinghamshire Art Society and Syon Park Art Centre in Brentford, as well many other art venues. Robert works solely in watercolours.
